Re-creating your email account (This will have to be done after every reload, but recovering the email and address book only has to be done once.)
(a) InetWiz – This procedure varies between operating systems and depending upon your system configuration
1. Click Start, then click Run
2. Type in inetwiz and click OK
3. Internet Connection Wizard : Set Up Your Internet Connection - Select one of the following and click Next :a. Connect using my phone line.
b. Connect using my local area network.
4. Local Area Network Internet Configuration - Uncheck all boxes on this page.
5. Set up your internet mail account – Check Yes and click Next
6. Your Name – Enter your name as you want it to appear>
7. Internet Email Address – Enter your email address here, in the form of email@domainname.com
8. E-Mail Server Names – Enter the incoming and outgoing mail servers for your service. Some of the common ones are :a. Roadrunner:
pop-server.rochester.rr.com
smtp-server.rochester.rr.com
b. BCCIS:
mail.bccis.com for both
c. USA Data Net:
mail.usadatanet.net
d. Localnet:
mail.localnet.com
smtp.localnet.com
e. ChoiceOne:
(pop 3 unknown)
smtp=choiceone.net
9. Internet Mail Logon – Enter you email name and password. Some ISP’s require that you enter the entire name in the form of email@domainname.com10. Complete Configuration
